The GraceWay Village Campus is working tremendously hard to serve our neighbors in need. Last year over 63,000 free hot meals were given out. This year's numbers are well on the way to over 65,000 meals. Additionally, over 2,400 children and teens in need were clothed for school. Because GraceWay Village is being used well, critical facility needs are making themselves known to staff, volunteers, and local contractors who faithfully come for repairs. These repairs are their efforts to slow down the inevitable. We are so appreciative of each of them!
The following are the critical facility needs:
- The two roofs are 18 years old. ($74,000)
- The four AC units range from 10 to 20 years old. ($39,000)
- The driveway and parking lot date back to 1994. If you've driven on it, you know the need! ($50,000)
BIG NEWS REGARDING THESE NEEDS!
Governor Ron DeSantis has approved the appropriations request! However, The total cost of capital improvements listed above must have 50% of it covered by matching funds. We are almost there, with just $12,190 more needed!
I am reaching out with a bold ask: If you can help GraceWay Village with these critical needs, time is of the essence! These funds could be available to us by July 1, 2023, IF we have the full 81,500 in hand. The sooner the $12,190 is raised, the sooner we can receive the funds from them, and the sooner we can get started on these much-needed improvements!
The total for all three replacements is $163,000.
